Memorial Day is a time for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.
As we gather with family and friends across the Brazos Valley this holiday weekend, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we hold dear every day.
Home means something different to everyone. For some, it’s a place filled with laughter and traditions. For others, it’s the comfort of returning to loved ones after time away. And for many military families, “home” represents sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering dedication.
Living and working in the Brazos Valley reminds me daily of the strong sense of community we share here. From Bryan to College Station and the surrounding areas, we are blessed to live in a place where neighbors support one another and patriotism runs deep.
This Memorial Day, I encourage everyone to take a moment to remember those who never made it home — the heroes who gave everything for our nation. Their courage and selflessness will never be forgotten.
